Our story

iFLAG began with a simple idea: people should be able to speak up safely, and organisations should be ready to listen.

The idea

Ahead of the new rules

iFLAG was founded in 2020 by Laura Van Hee and Alexander De Jaeger, as Europe was getting ready for new whistleblower rules. Organisations would soon need a safe and simple way for people to raise concerns, and Belgium's own law followed in 2022.

Laura, an attorney specialised in labour law and compliance, knew what the rules asked of organisations. Alexander, with a background in business studies and organisational advice, knew how to make that work in practice. Together they set out to give organisations a reporting channel they could trust.

From day one

Building it

Built around trust

A reporting channel only works if people dare to use it. So from the first version, iFLAG was designed around confidentiality: reports are handled securely, and the person speaking up stays protected.

The platform was developed by Nebulae from day one, while the founders focused on clients, legal guidance and getting organisations ready.

“Every organisation deserves a channel where truth can be spoken safely.”

A new chapter

Handing over the keys

Because of other priorities, the original founding team was no longer able to run the business. In August 2026, iFLAG was taken over by Nebulae.

Nebulae built iFLAG from day one. The team knows the platform inside out and guarantees continuity in development and support. For customers, nothing changed: same product, same promise. Alexander continues to support iFLAG as an advisor.
